We are seeking a Sales & Marketing Manager, US to join our dynamic and international team. Reporting to the General Manager, this US-based, fully remote role will be instrumental in executing our sales and marketing strategy across the Americas. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing a sales plan for the US market, relationship building, supporting the release of front list publications, consumer lead generation, collaborating with a diverse array of musical organizations to enhance the visibility of Faber Music and Edition Peters publication brands, and overseeing campaigns across trade and consumer marketing channels. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Implement Sales Plans: Create and execute a strategic sales plan in collaboration with the Director of Sales and General Manager to drive growth in the American market. This includes analyzing sales trends, identifying sales goals, establishing sales tactics, and implementing measures to track progress. 
  • Cultivate Relationships: Develop and nurture relationships within the American sheet music trade and other stakeholders, fostering partnerships that contribute to sales and brand growth.
  • Representation at Events: Represent the company at industry events, showcasing our brands and products and staying informed about industry trends and opportunities.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with the General Manager and Head of Marketing to devise effective strategies for communicating to the American market.  
  • Marketing Promotion: Promote the Faber Music and Edition Peters catalogs, including for front list product releases. This includes, facilitating the transfer of metadata to our printed music distributor, submitting copies to reviewers, and preparing compelling B2B and B2C marketing activity to maximize visibility and sales impact. Collaborate with our distributor for the American market to create impactful marketing content for distribution. Maintain a promotional calendar for the territory, scheduling promotional activities to ensure consistent and targeted outreach.
  • Data Analysis for Informed Strategies: Conduct thorough data analysis based on historical sales trends in the market. Utilize insights to inform and optimize sales and marketing strategies.
  • Consumer Lead Generation: Develop consumer lead generation strategies aligned with US marketing and sales goals. Utilize marketing channels and tactics, including but not limited to digital advertising, content marketing, email marketing, and social media campaigns. 
  • Education Outreach: Submit repertoire to music education review boards, secondary school state lists, and other festivals for placement in their syllabuses.
 

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability in business to business or business to consumer sales.
  • A strong understanding of marketing concepts and best practices.
  • A strong interest in music and publishing, as well as broad knowledge of musical repertoire, especially classical and educational music.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Resourcefulness, creativity and strong problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to occasionally travel (mostly domestic) to industry events and meetings.
 

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Experience in a sales or marketing role in a music environment.
  • Experience delivering email campaigns.
  • SEO and SEM knowledge and experience are advantageous.
  • Familiarity with GA4 and GoogleAds.
  • Confident managing Meta Business Suite.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful multi-channel campaigns.
  • Experience as a musician or music teacher.
  • Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Video editing skills a bonus. 
 

Details & Compensation

  • Job Title: Sales & Marketing Manager, US.
  • Salary: $42000 - $52000 commensurate with experience.
  • Benefits: The company offers a generous benefits package including 100% employer-paid health insurance, a 401(k) program with 5% matching, paid vacation and sick leave.
  • Location: US-based, fully remote; some travel required.
  • Hours: Full time, with a preference for a daily schedule that partially overlaps with our staff in the UK and Germany.
